If you’re in the market for professional SEO services, you’ll have noticed that, like many other professions, our charges vary wildly! There’s a good reason for this, and in general, you get what you pay for.
word of caution though. While I wouldn’t recommend that you hire anyone charging $20.00 or $30.00 an hour, neither would I recommend that you go to the other end of the scale. I’ve seen wildly in excess of $500.00 an hour being mentioned.

Only go with a company charging top-of-the-line rates if you can ascertain that he’s getting results. While our niche is highly competitive, he should at least be coming somewhere near the top of a search himself! If he’s using Pay Per Click to get customers, personally, I’d steer clear of him.

It makes sense to ask your proposed SEO expert to lay out a plan for you, of what he’s planning to do to get your show on the road. Then ask someone about that plan on one of the many web marketing forums you can find on the Net. You’ll get a pretty good idea then, if you’re expert really is just that. Oh, and if he declines to tell you what he’s planning to do, run as fast as you can. The last thing you need is to be associated with the next batch of websites banned by Google for using shady tactics!
